Our Story

We’re Adam and Amanda, and Muddy Puddles Farm is our home. Running a guest house wasn’t a dream or a long‑term plan — it wasn’t even on our minds. It only became clear while we were buying our house that we could offer something many places don’t: a stay that genuinely feels better.

Before settling in Bulgaria, we spent three years living in Turkey, a chapter that changed us in all the best ways. We learned what real hospitality looks like — the kind where people welcome you with warmth, help you without being asked, and make you feel like part of the family. That experience stayed with us. It shaped how we see hosting, how we treat guests, and what kind of place we wanted to create.

And then there were all the B&Bs we stayed in during our travels. Most of them were the same: take your money, show you to your room, and disappear.

No warmth. No guidance. No help. No sense of being looked after.

We realised something simple: people visiting this area don’t know where the shops are, where to eat, what to see, or how things work. They need more than a room — they need hosts who actually care.

So we decided to do things differently.

Doing things better — on purpose

Better welcome. Better communication. Better cleanliness. Better comfort. Better honesty. Better rural experience. Better value. Better warmth and friendliness.

These aren’t marketing lines — they’re the standards we live by.

We welcome every guest into our home, not just onto our property. We’re here when you need us, invisible when you don’t. We help you find the best places to eat, shop, walk, and explore. We make sure you feel safe, relaxed, and unhurried from the moment you arrive.

A place to feel at home

Muddy Puddles Farm is a peaceful rural escape, shared with our three friendly dogs and five chickens. Life here is simple and calm — the kind of place where mornings feel slow, evenings feel quiet, and nature is always just outside the door.

When you stay with us, we want you to feel:

  • relaxed
  • at home
  • safe
  • welcomed
  • peaceful
  • unhurried
  • connected to nature
  • part of the farm
  • looked after

Because that’s how a guest house should feel.

Why we do this

Not because we set out to. Not because we wanted a business. But because we knew we could offer something better — something honest, warm, and human.

A stay that feels like staying with friends, not checking into a building. A place where you’re not left guessing. A place where you’re genuinely welcomed. A place where you can breathe.

That’s Muddy Puddles Farm.
